A big thank you to Phil and Sharon for allowing me the opportunity to help sell their beautiful home.
Wonderful folks, they had been listed with another Realtor for some time without success. Luckily, I was able to advertise their home, and brought them several offers to choose from.
I'm very glad I was able to help, and wish them all the best as they enjoy the warm weather in sunny Florida.
Good news for home buyers:
Thank you Mike and Brandi for allowing me to work for you, again.
Two years ago Mike and Brandi hired me to help them purchase this home. They loved it, however, they were offered an opportunity in North Carolina that would be good for their growing family. So.... they decided to sell, and were under contract within a week.
I will miss them both. Good people. Really good people.
Thank you Mike and Brandi for your business, but more importantly, thank you for your friendship.
Onward and upward.
Held annually since 1947, the 2019 Saranac Lake Winter Carnival is just days away. The Winter Carnival is a 10-day festival that includes sports, performances, parades and fireworks. Organized by an all-volunteer group called the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Committee, this is a community-driven festival made possible by the efforts of many volunteers and sponsors, including our friends at Guide Boat Realty in Saranac Lake (way to go Chris!), and my good friend (and former client) Colleen O'Neill. See schedule of events here: https://www.saranaclakewintercarnival.com/schedule Dress warm, and enjoy!
This may be the most important public meeting Lake Placid has had since Walmart tried coming to Lake Placid in 2006. Please come and make your voice heard. We will not be able to respond to questions, but we will be listening. Please help us (The North Elba Town Council) write this law in a way that benefits our community for years to come.
Here is a copy of the proposed law:
Lake Placid is once again in the news. Gov. Cuomo has proposed State funding in the 2019 budget to the tune of $82,500.000.00. This is in addition to the $62,500,000.00 we received last year.

Lake Placid seems to always be in the news. We are after all the "Winter Sports Capital of the World". This story from Forbes is spot on: https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogersands/2018/12/06/how-lake-placid-perfected-winter/#782ca3d812763
Interest rates have declined in the last 4 weeks, making home buying even more affordable. Locally, Community Bank lending officer Tim Taylor says that his rates are now down to 4.625% on a 30 year mortgage.
